Guest Speaker:

Jim Damato (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jimdamato) is a senior technology manager with 20 years of responsibility and accountability for taking enterprise SDLC and Cloud initiatives from vision and strategy thru rollout and support. He has been successful in environments like publicly traded companies, quick-growing startups, and federal agencies, starting as a software engineer in Silicon Valley in the hey day of the Internet where he was first exposed to early Agile techniques.

After the tech economy crash he landed in Washington DC leading large, technology-focused project teams as a federal contractor. He learned about a process called Waterfall and thought, “Why would you do it like that?” But he never forgot his Agile roots and developed an ability to look at Agile through a Waterfall lens and Waterfall through an Agile lens.

He now helps companies implement their Agile strategies as a Solutions Architect for CA Technologies (formerly Rally Software) where he is a product specialist and Agile expert.

Jim is PMP, ITIL, CSM, PMI-ACP, CSP and SAFe Agilist certified.
